Although the three-phase four wire distribution technology has achieved good transmission and distribution of electrical energy in low-voltage distribution systems, this single distribution technology sometimes has some drawbacks, such as unbalanced three-phase loads and significant energy loss during transmission. If single-phase distribution transformers are used for power supply, the above problems can be better solved.
